Role Purpose
The Fleet Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and compliance management of the EasyPay Everywhere fleet. The role ensures full vehicle availability, optimal utilisation, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance. It also provides accurate reporting and insights to stakeholders, supporting business continuity through a reliable fleet that enables frontline service delivery across all regions.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Operations and Availability
• Oversee daily fleet operations to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant, and available to frontline teams.
• Monitor utilisation, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate breakdown support, towing, and ensure weekend availability for urgent fleet interventions.
• Resolve operational issues affecting field service delivery.

Compliance, Licensing, and Policy Governance
• Manage vehicle licences, renewals, permits, and statutory documentation.
• Enforce fleet governance policies and ensure staff understand and comply with usage requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for audits, compliance checks, and internal reporting.

Tracking and Monitoring
• Administer and monitor the vehicle tracking system to ensure data accuracy and system availability.
• Review route adherence, idling, driver behaviour, and fuel-use patterns to identify risks and areas for improvement.

Financial and Fund Management
• Manage fleet budgets, fuel cards, toll accounts, and expenditure controls.
• Analyse fleet costs, identify savings opportunities, and recommend optimisation initiatives.
• Support procurement processes for maintenance, towing, and service-provider contracts.

Reporting and Analytics
• Prepare and maintain fleet reports and dashboards for operational and executive stakeholders.
• Provide trend analysis, exception reports, and actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Highlight utilisation issues, performance gaps, and cost drivers.

Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance fleet effectiveness, reduce downtime, and improve cost efficiency.
• Work closely with operational leadership to align fleet operations with business priorities and frontline requirements.

Minimum Requirements
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in fleet management or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of fleet compliance, licensing requirements, and policy governance.
• Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems and utilisation analytics.
• Experience with financial controls, fuel fund management, and cost analysis.
• Strong reporting and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-dependent environment.
• Weekend availability for towing and emergency support.
• Valid driver’s licence.
